About Us

Salish Sea Conservation is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization with Federal Tax ID number 46-2534110.

Founded in 2013 with the original officers and board of directors consisting of students from Whatcom Community College, Northwest Indian College, Bellingham Technical College, Fairhaven College and Western Washington University. A major aspect of Salish Sea Conservation is making photo/video documentation and removal of garbage along the shoreline of the Salish Sea, as well as performing as many water quality tests as we are able within our budget restrictions. This will help also to educate the people about this growing global problem.
